Kastrakli Natural Reserve
The Kastrakli natural reserve is situated in the , on the territory of Borino municipality. It occupies an area of 124 hectares and was established for the purpose of preserving the century-old pine forest, the unique rock formations and typical scenery. An artificial lake has been built in the reserve. It is situated in a high-mountain valley. The natural relief has been used as a wall. According to scientists, the Kastrakli region is the second place on the Planet, where over the period May-June-July, the biggest concentration of more than half of the butterflies living on Earth, could be seen.
