An exhibition of Bulgaria's best caricatures, satiric pictures and cartoons of a dozen artists is opening in the town of Gabrovo, an epitome for satire and fresh humour.

The exhibition, called "Forefathers of Bulgarian caricatures" takes place in Humour and Satire Home in Gabrovo.

It includes about 90 works produced by the best Bulgarian artists in this genre - Alexander Bojinov, Stoyan Venev, Chudomir, Ilia Beshkov, Marko Behar, Alexander Dobrinov, etc.

Part of the presentation is a collection of comic papers where the best cartoons were published.

The visitors can learn more about the caricaturists' lives and creative biographies, opinions of their colleagues and followers.
The exhibition is part of the celebrations on the anniversary of Humour and Satire Home, April 1. Since it opened doors 35 years ago, it has shown the works of 9,000 artists from 173 countries.
